Maximizing a narrow townhouse galley kitchen for cooking, storage and eat-in dining space is no small feat. Including bold flourishes of color and pattern and intricate millwork details adds to the complexity of this small, but mighty kitchen renovation for empty nesters in Beacon Hill. The new layout with mixed cabinetry styles and details, transformed a pair of overscaled beverage refrigerators into a multi-purpose coffee bar, and an underutilized kitchen corner into a plush built-in dining nook.
